Melba Restaurant Celebrates Father’s Day

Father’s Day is quickly approaching and Melba’s experienced brigade of chefs is all set to look after dads and their families on Sunday 2 September.

The menu for lunch on Father’s Day includes chilled lobster with traditional Marie Rose sauce, blue swimmer crab, tiger prawns, Pacific oysters, Tasmanian Spring Bay mussels, sticky bourbon bbq pork ribs, tequila and lime rotisserie chicken and Guinness and brown sugar marinated steak.

The dessert bar offering includes cherry and cognac chocolate mousse verrines, Earl Grey tea éclairs and raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake. Plus, the ever popular ice cream station and chocolate fountain will be ready and waiting.

Every dad attending Father’s Day lunch will receive a mini Langham-brand Sherrin football.

Dinner at Melba Restaurant will be just as decadent with Singapore chilli crab, sushi and sashimi on offer and slow-braised beef cheek with mashed potato and harissa chicken.

There will surely be dads making a beeline for the charcoal-grilled sirloin steak and freshly cooked pasta. Add made-to-order naan bread filled with just about anything from spinach to cheese, Asian dishes, plus a heavily laden antipasto station brimming with charcuterie and families will have a Father’s Day meal to remember.

$150.00 per adult including an Australian beer or glass of house wine on arrival $75.00 for children between the ages of 4 and 12 Children 3 and under dine for free. + $25.00 per person for a guaranteed window table.

Lunch commences at 12.30pm and concludes at 4pm. Entrée, main course and live cooking stations conclude at 2.30pm. Dessert and cheese stations conclude at 4pm.

There will also be a Chocolate bar high tea at Aria Bar and Lounge that features a contemporary selection of sweets and an exquisite Wedgwood tea selection. The Chocolate bar menu includes an expansive selection of chocolate treats.

Designed with a chocoholic in mind, the chocolate bar is chock full of rich éclairs, mousse and pannacotta as well as a chocolate cannoli filled with coconut, Malibu gel, white chocolate and berry cream.

Chuan Spa is also in on Father’s Day celebrations with a pampering package fit for every dad. The treatment is designed to rejuvenate tired muscles and soften dry skin which starts with the spa’s signature tri-bathing ritual followed by a one hour relaxation massage including a relaxing scalp massage or a one hour BABOR facial. The package for two also includes access to the hotel’s indoor pool and spa as well as a Babor take home gift and valet parking. The Father’s Day package is $289.00 for 90 minutes.
